% Almost Spring Sunday %

Today was one of the closest to spring days we have had in a long time. We decided to take full advantage of it and were outside as much of the day as possible. It was wonderful. It felt so good to soak up as much sun as we could. I can hardly wait for Spring.

Be still my heart!

Oh, she can melt my heart!Hubba-Hubba!

We heart the sunshine!

The little flower that could! I have had this plant for almost three years and no matter how much I ignore it, it always comes back when spring is beginning.

WOW! I need a pedicure SOOO bad!

(And yes, my daughter is climbing on TOP of the slide! Great parenting skills at work!)

Waiting NOT so patiently for Spring,

40 before 40?

I have been toying with the idea of attempting to run 40 races (5k or 10k) by the time I turn 40. Since, I only have about 6.5 years left, it may not be feasible, but I am going to give it a try. To make the goal, I will have to run at least 6 a year from now on. I ran one several years ago, so I only needed 39 more :).

At the beginning of February Sara, Kelli, and I ran in the UMDF Christopher's Heart 5k Fun Run. It was great. We were going to do the walk, but then convinced ourselves to run at the last minute. We all did great! It was a really pretty day, but super cold when we started.

This Saturday, my dad and I, as well as 12,500 other people, ran the Houston Rodeo 5K. It was awesome. I have never been part of something so big. It was amazing how many people were gathered together. Chris, my mom, and the girls came to root us on. Dad and I ran the whole way together. He is much more experienced than me in running, so he set a great pace and I was able to improve my time by a whole 5 minutes. I was so excited!

I am not sure I will be able to keep up with my plan, but I will at least try. I have two more planned for this spring, so at least I am making a great start!

Happy Running,

GO Texan Day

Not much to say about this, but "Cowboys, eat your heart out! These cowgirls are stinking cute!" Good thing, they can't date until they are 25.

Park Stars

Our girls love the park... We have been really missing it with all the yucky weather this winter, so the first day we had a little sunshine we were there! It is so great to see the girls enjoying the outdoors and blowing off some much need steam! Sure hope spring gets here soon!

By the way, what do you think of the giant pics! Are they too big to handle? You can see every little freckle, eyelash, and booger!

The girls and I spent a lot of time making sweet treats for our friends and teachers last week. They all turned out really cute and yummy!

Let's Go UPWARD!

Lucy started cheerleading a few weeks ago. She loves it! The girls are really good and they look so cute in their uniforms on stage. The Upward program is a Christian based basketball and cheerleading league. I have been really impressed with how well organized it is. The worst part is that I am helping coach and I have seriously lost any rhythm I had in my younger days.

The Girls New Room

The girls have been asking to share a room for awhile. So far, it has been a pretty easy transition. They are enjoying their new space and getting along great! Most nights we find them sleeping together when we check in on them. It is so cute!
