Merry Christmas, finally.....

Santa found Lucy and Grace at Poppy and Granny's house this year. Lucy was a little unsure at first, but jumped right in after a few minutes. Gracie loved her little car and spent most of the morning chillin' in it. We had a great day of eating, playing with toys and hanging out.

Grace loves her uncles. She managed to squeeze in a nap with both Uncle Kurt and Uncle Justin.

The only thing that worried Lucy was that we didn't have cupcakes for Jesus' birthday. We will have to make sure that happens next year, which she has already started asking about. Where am I going to hang a paper chain with 365 links??

I hope that everyone had as blessed and happy a Christmas as we did.

Christmas Eve at Nana & PawPaw's

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Chris's family. The girls love playing with their cousins. With four girls, 6 and under, there is always lots of giggling. The kiddos are so lucky, because Santa usually makes a stop by the house while he is out delivering presents. Lucy was such a big girl and gave Santa a huge hug when he gave her gift to her.

I spent alot of the day, playing with my new lens. Emily helped me set it up and gave me some great pointers. This is Judy's cat, Stewart. He was the subject of most of my practice.

Ninny's Christmas

We spent the Sunday before Christmas at Ninny's with my mom's side of the family. We had a great time outside. Lucy and Grace spent most of their time on the swings, and Granny spent most of her time on the four wheeler!

Just the beginning....

Since we were going to be in Victoria through Christmas, we decided to let the girls open their gifts from Mommy and Daddy on the Friday before. Lucy was so excited about her makeup and new plate and bowl. Gracie was more excited about the paper.... The girls and I got Chris an IPOD and I got an awesome zoom lens for my camera. I look like the papparazi following the kiddos around!

Christmas Cheese

I took the girls Christmas pictures last week. It cost me a lollipop and a whole roll of scotch tape (bribery) but we finally got a couple good shots. Lucy tells me everyday that this is the most wonderful holiday ever.

I hope everyone is having an awesome holiday season! Merry Christmas!

Look at me, Mommy!

This is what I found when I went to get Gracie from her nap yesterday afternoon.... I guess it is time to move the bed down again. She is going to be 8 months on Friday! Babies grow up too fast.

ICC Christmas

The Houston Chapter of the ICC met for our annual Christmas dinner on Saturday night. It was a little different than the Saturday nights that we spent cruising the roads around Victoria. Instead of watching for the cops, we spend most of the night policing 6 kiddos. Wonder where we will be in 20 more years!

American Idol here she comes....

Lucy had her Christmas program at school last night. She sang 5 songs, including a very swinging rendition of Mary had a Baby Boy. Lucy was wonderful, of course. I have add a few pics, but I can't figure out how to get the video off our camera and onto the computer. I have run out of patience for today, so I will try again tomorrow. Anyone know how to upload video from a Sony Handycam????? I am about to do bodily harm to my video camera....

The future Mary Lou Retton...

Lucy had her first field trip for school last week. They went to the Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. Of course, she loved it. They got to dance and jump on the big trampolines. She loved getting to go with all her schools friends. The funniest thing was all the moms watching. There were about 60 kids and 60 moms. Gotta love suburbia...

I forgot my camera, so thanks to Barbara we have some pics and a video... Enjoy!

Sisters are so cool

Grace started crawling last week and can get just about anywhere she wants. She had finally made it into Lucy's playhouse the other day and was so excited. I am looking forward to many years of listening to the two of them giggling together. Lucy tells me every day that Gracie is her best friend. I hope that last forever....

Oh Christmas Tree!

We decorated our tree last week. Lucy was a big help putting on the ornaments and Grace was a big help taking them back off. Every year Daddy puts the star on the tree with the help of Lucy. This year she assisted while Gracie got the big honor. We are all so excited about the holiday season. Lucy has already written a letter to Santa... she even included some requests for Grace. I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season!
