Crafty Me...

As many of you know, I am a craft-loving girl... I am always dreaming up something new to make for the girls or friends or myself. I am always looking for great ideas that I can lift and make my own. When we decided to move, I decided to become a Close to My Heart Consultant. I have been using their products for a long time and L-O-V-E them. I am really excited about this new adventure and know that their great products can continue to spark my creative juices.... Here is just a sampling of the items, I put together for my first open house. Enjoy!

Sprinklers, BBQ chicken, and Homemade Ice Cream, It must be Memorial Day

We had our first backyard BBQ at the new house this afternoon to celebrate a beautiful Memorial day. We hooked up the sprinkler for the girls. I cooked chicken on the grill and Kurt made homemade peaches and cream ice cream for dessert. It was so yummy! It brought back lots of memories from when I was a kiddo. Lucy and Grace loved it all and so did Wyatt.

New Park Adventures

Lucy convinced me to leave the boxes behind and take a little trip to the park on Friday. It is literally 4 mins from our front door. It is really kid/mom friendly and seems to be the hang out spot in the neighborhood. Grace is such a daredevil and wants to constantly climb up and down the steps. She thinks she is Lucy's size.

I can't believe how much stuff we have. I need to take a few lessons from Sassy and learn to minimize and organize. Our garage is currently stuffed full of the contents of our old attic. Does everyone have 6 tubs of Christmas decorations, 5 tubs of Halloween decorations, 3 tubs of Easter eggs, and 3 tubs of Fourth of July decorations? Or is it just me? I may never dig my way out!!!! I am planning our first garage sale for as soon as possible. Maybe I can make enough money to pay someone to paint our two story family room?!?!? Sounds like a good cause to me....

I am back.... and we are moved!

It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. We sold the house, bought a new house, packed, closed on both houses, revamped the new house (see below), loaded, moved, unloaded, and started unpacking... I have a long way to go, but the house is starting to feel a little like home. The girls are sleeping good and adjusting to the new place pretty well. Lucy gets a little homesick about 4:00 every afternoon, but other than that she is doing good. We have ventured to the park a couple times, so that is helping. We love having Sassy and Justin so close, and are hopeful we will meet some new friends soon!

I added a few before and after shots of the new house. We replaced all the flooring and added a wall to enclose a study. We have also started working on the landscaping. The house had been vacant for over a year, so it was pretty overgrown. It is amazing what trimming a few trees can do for curb appeal.
