Cold and Wet Days, Make Mommy Stir Crazy...

We have been going stir crazy with all the cold and wet weather lately. Lucy likes to say "Brrrr! It is Nebraska cold outside." She has also left being a princess behind and has decided fairies are where it's at. So she is flap, flap, flapping her way around the house all day.

Gracie spends most of her day making messes and being naked. She is starting to talk alot more. She still likes to make zurbert best, but is adding a few dadas and gagas to the mix.

How much longer until spring??

Half Birthdays are fun too!

Yesterday was Lucy's half birthday! Essentially, it was an excuse to make pink cupcakes. She had a blast helping me ice the cupcakes and then we shared with our friends. Even Gracie got a little cupcake for dessert last night (only after she destroyed her green beans:)).

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve with the Rockets. Chris got awesome tickets from work. We were sitting in the first row. It was so cool to see the players up close. Chris and Lucy got to high five Yao and Mutombo. Chris also got lots of autographs. It was probably more exciting for Chris than us. He has been a die hard Rockets fan since he was Lucy's age. Anyways, the game was fun (even though we lost!). Grace was the star of the jumbo tron, but Lucy decided to be shy.

Lucy was so excited to see Clutch, until he tried to steal Grace and she decided she didn't like him anymore. So Mommy and Gracie had their picture made alone.

We did get the coolest New Year's hats ever! There is nothing funnier than a baby with silly hair!

Merry Christmas, finally.....

Santa found Lucy and Grace at Poppy and Granny's house this year. Lucy was a little unsure at first, but jumped right in after a few minutes. Gracie loved her little car and spent most of the morning chillin' in it. We had a great day of eating, playing with toys and hanging out.

Grace loves her uncles. She managed to squeeze in a nap with both Uncle Kurt and Uncle Justin.

The only thing that worried Lucy was that we didn't have cupcakes for Jesus' birthday. We will have to make sure that happens next year, which she has already started asking about. Where am I going to hang a paper chain with 365 links??

I hope that everyone had as blessed and happy a Christmas as we did.

Christmas Eve at Nana & PawPaw's

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Chris's family. The girls love playing with their cousins. With four girls, 6 and under, there is always lots of giggling. The kiddos are so lucky, because Santa usually makes a stop by the house while he is out delivering presents. Lucy was such a big girl and gave Santa a huge hug when he gave her gift to her.

I spent alot of the day, playing with my new lens. Emily helped me set it up and gave me some great pointers. This is Judy's cat, Stewart. He was the subject of most of my practice.

Ninny's Christmas

We spent the Sunday before Christmas at Ninny's with my mom's side of the family. We had a great time outside. Lucy and Grace spent most of their time on the swings, and Granny spent most of her time on the four wheeler!

Just the beginning....

Since we were going to be in Victoria through Christmas, we decided to let the girls open their gifts from Mommy and Daddy on the Friday before. Lucy was so excited about her makeup and new plate and bowl. Gracie was more excited about the paper.... The girls and I got Chris an IPOD and I got an awesome zoom lens for my camera. I look like the papparazi following the kiddos around!
